Which is the Cheapest WordPress Hosting?

Are you looking for affordable WordPress hosting options? With so many hosting providers, finding the right one that fits your budget can be overwhelming and time-consuming. We suffered from this same problem, which inspired us to create this website. We wanted a place where people could go and quickly find the WordPress hosting company best for them.

Below are some common features across WordPress plans. You should determine which factors are most important to you and then focus on those factors. We have also put together other guides on important WordPress standard features and optimization features.

  • Number of Websites: How many individual WordPress websites are included in your plan? If you only need one website, then no need to get a plan with more than one website (also called an “installation”). However, if you manage multiple websites or are an Agency, you’ll want to pay attention to this number.
  • Storage Space: Like your hard drive or mail account, each WordPress host will only give you a certain amount of storage space for your websites. If you use WebP images and aren’t storing large videos, then you won’t need more than a few GB per website. Note that the storage space quoted is for your entire plan. You must share the storage space across all installations if you have multiple websites, so keep this in mind.
  • Bandwidth: Bandwidth refers to how much data is transferred to visitors to your website monthly. If your page, images, and CSS/JavaScript files are 1MB in total, and 1000 people visit your page, that is 1GB in bandwidth. Image-intensive websites with large files to download will consume more bandwidth. But note that bandwidth does not generally include content hosted on third-party websites such as YouTube. So, if you embed videos from YouTube onto your page, you won’t need to worry about the size of those videos.
  • Number of visitors: Some WordPress hosts create their plans based on the number of visitors to your website. Sometimes, WordPress hosts will also include a bandwidth limit, while others choose the number of visitors or bandwidth but not both. If you aren’t sure how many visitors you get, you can easily find out by looking at your Google Analytics site. If you don’t have Google Analytics, you can also look at Google Search Console for a *rough* idea, but it won’t be comprehensive. You can also look at your website access logs to see how many visits, although this includes bots.
  • Contract Length: Almost all WordPress hosts offer month-to-month plans, but you’ll get discounts by agreeing to a longer term. 12-month plans are standard, but some hosts offer two, three, and even four-year plans, like Hostinger. Additionally, you’ll want to note what the renewal price is after the initial term, as some hosts offer significantly discounted prices upfront.
  • Worldwide Performance Rank: We ran comprehensive performance tests on each WordPress provider using an account we paid for – no company sponsored our accounts or tests. Based on these results, we separated the companies into two tiers: top-tier and lower-tier. However, it is important to note that each website’s performance will differ. Furthermore, these results account for worldwide performance. Some hosts suffered because they didn’t have a CDN. If you are a local business, you will want to look up how each provider performed in your local area on our performance metrics page.
  • Standard Features: You will want to know if the WordPress host includes standard features such as free backups, SSL certificates, CDN access, and a money-back guarantee. You can find all this information on our Standard WordPress Host Features page.

Below, you’ll find the cheapest WordPress hosting plans available, as well as Our Recommended Plans. Remember that cheap doesn’t always mean better, so Our Recommended Plans are often not the cheapest available. If you are serious about your WordPress website or blog, you don’t want to cheap out!

  • These are the cheapest WordPress hosting plans offered by the WordPress hosts we review on this website. However, please make sure to check out what are the Standard Features that come with the plans. The cheapest plans often miss important features that either hurt your website, or you have to buy as an upgrade. This can cost you quite a bit of money in the long run!
